I often heard about many people are annoyed with anime fans like me, mainly because we like to watch them in original Japanese language. Not to mention some of us are indeed learn Japanese for the sake of better understanding in anime, and some even occasionally use Japanese terms/words in day to day life. Is that wrong? Just because we like anime so we are obsessed with Japan? C'mon people! Grow up already. It is not as easy as 'anime fan = wapanese'. If you think it like that, then I must say you must be in deep envy and depression because you can't enjoy watching anime as much as we anime fans do.
I remember one of my friend struggle to learn englisch since elementary school. She told me she did that because she want to have better understanding on American movies and soaps. After she can speak englisch, she decided to further her study in US, only listen to englisch songs and even planned to marry a real American man! Now that is what I call obsessed. Man, it doesn't necessarily mean that we're obsessed with Japan just because we watch anime more than American movies. Think again.

Gay!(?) Save Our King
God!(?) Save Our King a.k.a. "Kyo Kara Maou" in Japanese is one of the most disgusting anime I've ever watched. So disgusting that I don't dare to watch the entire series. Yes, this anime is filled with 'beautiful' hunks, and they all are gay! Just a few weeks ago, Animax started to announce the 2nd season of this anime will be aired this coming May. Goth! Can't Animax go find any other better anime to be aired instead of those gay anime again and over again?
Just not so long ago, Animax has shown "Maria-sama ga Miteru" (Maria Watches Over Us). This is yet another 'gay' anime. OK, the anime is filled with girls so should I say it is a lez anime?
The Japanese sure is creative when it comes to writing stories/plots for aniime but producing such anime at mainstream level is just going too far. They should keep it only for themselves or do it the same way they distribute hentai. They shouldn't have disturbing the mainstream distribution.
Just for your info, in Japanese, the so-called 'gay anime' is called "Shounen-ai" (literally 'boys-love') while the 'lez anime' is called "Shoujo-ai" (girls-love). *vomit*

The sign of another sign

Shoot! I haven't updated this blog for a few days and I feel like it's already a few weeks! I am not in the mood to post about anime/manga review today so I'll just post whatever I have in my head.
These days I started to hear about people complaining Animax only airs old anime (even the latest is actually 2 or 3 years old!). Man, we shouldn't blame either. The fact is, most people feel the anime is old because they already have ILLEGAL access to it. What I mean by ILLEGAL is they already watched pirated copies downloadable via Torrent. Thus, we can assume those who already watch new anime as a copyright law offender.
Man, we can't always compare ourself with Japanese. Of course they have immediate access to new anime since anime are originated from their homeland. Blame yourself for being born in the countries other than Japan. Blame yourself for not fluent in Japanese and have to rely on fansubs. Copyright law may be restrictive but as a civilised human, we should learn how to adapt to it, just like how we adapted to religions and messages by God brought by previous prophets.
Some might say copyright law is like prohibiting us from sharing stuff. Man, it's not that they're prohibiting you, but please watch what you're sharing. Anime, manga & games are intended to be sold so it must always be like that. If you're sharing them for the sake of morality, doesn't that mean you're defying the initial intentions of the existence of AMG? Think again.
If you need to say something more than just a comment to this post, please do so in my forum. The URL is available in the sidebar. Thank you.

The Other Note

Death Note is one of a few manga I managed to read the whole volumes. The plot taking place around Raito Yagami (Light Yagami?) who found a notebook of which, anybody whose name is written and his/her face pictured in the mind of the notebook user (the writer), will die in exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds (400 seconds). According to the rules, written in English in the back page of the book, if no cause of death is written with the name, the intended person will die by the cause of heart attack. Later in the story, Raito use the identity 'KIRA' to kill criminals in his mission to 'clean the world from evil'. During this mission, he encountered the world's top-ranked detective, 'L' whose intelligence is comparable with Raito himself.
Into the story itself, the name Raito is actually written in Katakana characters. In Japanese, Katakana is used to write foreign words, which resulting Raito's name always written as 'Light' in English translation. This translation might be wrong because there is one scene in the manga where Raito refuses when Misa Amane wanted to call him 'Light' (in English pronunciation).
End of Death Note, to anybody out there, please take note that if you're anti-Islam, then you're actually anti-monotheism (including Christianity and Judaism itself). And if you're anti-monotheism, you're actually anti-religion! DO NOT hate Islam or I'll write your name in my Death Note and you'll die of natural causes in approximately 60 years!

Kuro-sama goyojin!

Yet another manga review. Well, it's more to a anime review anyway. Black Cat (Japanese: Kuro Neko) is a manga by Kentaro Yabuki, released in year 2000. The story, which is categorized action-comedy (where you occasionally see people die in a comedy!) is about the main protagonist, Train Heartnet a.k.a. 'Black Cat'. (Black Cat because of his black-dressed appearance, plus his agility comparable to that of a cat). Before he meet Saya, a bounty hunter (known as 'Sweeper' in the series) he was a cold blooded assassin who will kill anybody as instructed by the underground organization, Chronos, without hesitation. He holds a position as a 'Number' in the Chronos, which means he is among a few best assassins in the organization. Numbered as '13' he has a tattoo of Roman number 13 (XIII) on his chest, which is always visible when he is on an assassination mission. The tattoo has somehow become a trademark for him. In the first quarter of the story, he leave Chronos after decided to live on his own term towards justice. He personally feels that Chronos actions are just too much after he learned from Saya that unnecessary killings should be avoided. Although Chronos refuses to let him go, he finally managed to escape and become a happy-go-lucky bounty hunter.

Ah! Finally I see a manga-related ad in the AdSense box. www.mangafox.com. This website really offers free manga for reading although it is not possible to download the entire chapter per click, I mean, you have to browse through manga pages in the website itself rather than downloading them in a whole chapter. Thankfully we can jump to any chapter/page we want at anytime, thanks to the dropdown menu.
I tried to read one of my favorite manga there, 'Air Gear'. Air Gear is an ongoing manga by Oh! Great! or his real name, Ogure Ito (which then derived into englisch sounded 'Oh great!'). It is about hi-tech roller-blade, namely Air Trek, which is motor-powered, claimed to be as powerful as a 4x4 vehicle. Itsuki 'Ikki' Minami is the main protagonist who live under the custody of Noyamano sisters (of which he live under the same roof with!). Initially, he is oblivious of the power of air trek until one day he decided to give them a try as a mean to seek revenge on the bully gang. After a few challenges he met, he eventually become better in the 'sport' as a 'Storm Rider' at an amazing rate never seen by anybody before. He is also known as 'Crow'.
My review here is actually based on the anime version which I watched on international anime channel Animax, therefore there might me a slight difference from the manga review.
halfey's Today's Most Wanted Game

Harvest Moon, the game everybody (almost) gaga over since the past few years. Yes, after reading the reviews from various source, I personally feel that this game is better than The Sims (for which both are simulation games, and I have played The Sims). With the attractive anime-ish looking characters, the ability to marry somebody and have child, the challenges in getting yourself a spouse (as if in real life!) this is the game I've been looking for. I don't need those like Second Life or anything similar.

rightomatic ni youkoso

Welcome to rightomatic, as the title says (in Japanese). Shoot! I thought there were errors in the HTML code that makes my AdSense doesn't appear. It's just that my Firefox AdBlock Plus was active. Now that I've turned it off and I can see the GoogleAds there on the sidebar. Sorry Google.
There are still no anime-related as of yet. Maybe I have to include more anime stuff in this blog, or perhaps I can pick the ads myself?
Man, I want to watch the anime "Welcome to NHK' so bad but too bad I can't find any DVD here. Wait! Has the anime licensed for English-subtitled distribution? Uh! If not I'd have no choice but to download those fansubbed videos via Torrent. Take note that the NHK is not the 'NHK Channel', one well-known Japanese TV broadcasting company.
Er, I did watch a few episodes of the anime before but I feel hesitated after knowing that they're pirated copies. Put the piracy issues aside, I personally think that this anime is really reflects the reality of a 'N.E.E.T.' ([N]ot in [E]mployment, [E]ducation or [T]raining]) or hikkikomori in Japanese. I admit that I was a NEET myself before I join the public service, and I think I'm going to become one once again in the nearest future due to my uncertain position in my current job. Oh! No! Please help me to get a new job already! I still have kittens to feed and loans to be repaid!
What you may need to know about me...

Wahoo! My AdSense application has been approved. Thanks Google. But the ad hasn't appear yet on the sidebar. Perhaps I have to wait for at least 48 hours anyway? If it still doesn't appear after this period, maybe there's something wrong on where I put them in the HTML code... Goth! I just can't wait to share something about anime with other anime fans out there!

Into my blog contents

Friday is really a great day. See my 2 posts in a row?
I submitted my application for Google AdSense just now. Hope they will approve it although I personally feel that maybe I have to resubmit my application (?). Yes, for now this blog have no proper contents, besides it's just a few weeks old with low (or no) visitors. I think the only attraction for this blog is my forum (refer to the link on the right navbar). Too bad, with only 16 registered members including myself, nobody is really active. Need to work on looking for more real active members.
I am planning to put more anime, manga & game (AMG) stuff into this blog. Yes, I like AMGs and I have a long list of AMGs that I'd like to watch/read/play. I like to share what I have with other AMG fans out there, and hope they will share something with me in return as well. Man, I can't resist their (AMG's) attraction. With those cute girls, lolis, super robot, magics and stuff, they give me a completely different experience that I can't get from live action movies and dramas. All hail anime, manga & games!
Great, great, today is Friday

I AM (NOT) LEGEND

No, this blog is not about myself and AMG (anime manga games) alone. Y'know what, I am highly interested with philosophy. I am fond of Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche philosophy works. Currently, I am reading "Nietzsche's Beyond Good & Evil" (Jenseits Von Gut Und Bose) which I bough earlier this year, after about 8 years searching for it. I'm still looking for 2 other titles by Nietzsche though, namely "The Will To Power" (Der Wille Zur Macht) and "Also Sprach Zarathustra" (Thus Spake Zarathustra). I'm a gamer, a heavy gamer, and it's quite surprising to see a few game titles adopting Nietzsche's philosophy into its storyline. One best example is the Xenosaga trilogy. Goth, I love this game so much that I think I will go all out to buy KOS-MOS figurine!

The 1st post of the 2nd week of April 2008 (???)

Uh! It's about 4 moths after my last haircut. Yes, I trimmed my hair on last January 1st. Since then, I let them grow as I please. Normally, I'd wait until at least 10 person to remind me to cut my hair. Say, if nobody reminds me, I'll just keep them long.
Oh! There's only 6 months left until my probation period ends. After that, it's either my position in public service will be confirmed or I have to be terminated from the service. I know the situation is pretty not siding with me as of current but I just don't know what to do. It's not that I don't have any experience of becoming jobless person but this time around, it's going to be very different than before. I have some debts (bank & student loan) and insurance premiums to be paid.
For now, the future looks blur for me.

The post of 4x4x2008
See the weird date formatting above? I mean the title of today's post. Today is April 4, and it reminds me of 4x4. "4x4?" you asked? Yes, that's a type of a vehicle. Man, I don't know much about those cars, engines & stuff. I like computer more than cars because, unlike computer, you can't buy parts and build your car from the scratch. So there's virtually no DIY (Do It Yourself) car. Heh, even if you managed to buy all car components, chances are you won't be able to assemble them alone with only screw drivers & wrenches. Assembling a PC is so much fun for me. All I need are working PC hardwares (the CPU, peripheral cards, RAM, HDD, optical drive, etc), one or two screw drivers (normal, philips or of both type), screws, nuts & bolts, and it's done in less than an hour. Yes, I don't need a heavy machinery factory (or manufacturing plant for that purpose) to assemble one.
Sorry for my bad Englisch.
Sorry for my bad Englisch.

The post of April 2nd, 2008

Man, it took me 2 & a half year to have my own blog. Not that I never have it before but now I decided to have a real active one. Well, I should have created this on my birthday in last January, but since I was busy with my forum on that time, the creation of this blog was postponed for countless times. You might think that I'm lazy, and I'm not blaming you though. Maybe I am, indeed but in real world, my life is pretty miserable, with piles of backlogged jobs yet to be done on my desk, plus grands of debts to be paid. Goth, if only there's somebody really kind enough to give me some 50 grand so I will repay all my debts, resign from my current position in the public service, and start my own business. Yeah, if only is only if... Even if I'm really going to start my own business, what business should I run then? Shoot! I really don't have any idea.
Suggestions, anyone?
